Mazu City is located in southeast of Zhongmen Peninsula in Xiuyu District in Putian. Near Meizhou Island National Resort District, with Zixiao Cave Resort in the east and Dongwu Development Zone and Lippo Land City in the west, Mazu City is about 23 kilometers away from Xiuyu District and about 40 kilometers away from the city center. The site is the birthplace of Mazu, and with Meizhou Matsu Temple as the birthplace of world Mazu culture .
