Inspired by the layout of paddy field in south China, designers take great advantage of network of rivers and roads on the base to maximize use of land and surrounding landscape. Special terrain features and characteristics of lowrise residential buildings enable designers to create a more liberal pattern of curved lines. In each cluster road network and green land make the layout wellregulated conveying the sense of energy and strength; Designers focus on the centralized distribution of green land to form a “breathing mouth” for low density building cluster without compromising the lighting conditions. Designers make best of the M-shaped rives in the E3-1 block in the north to provide five generous and luxury single family houses with great landscape, highlighting the whole block. In master planning, designers take full advantage of existing terrain conditions and the unique climate characteristics of Jiangnan to integrate local customs and natural landscape.
